I think a personal blog and a design blog are enough for me nowadays. After 15 months and 450 posts (a post for nearly every day… I didn’t realize that until now!), IKEAspotting is officially retiring.

Thanks to my 400+ followers! It’s been a fun run.

Note: The blog will be up for a little while longer, but due to my apparent addiction to Tumblr I may have to delete it completely to avoid relapse into Tumblog hoarding. So take note of any info/posts you want to hang onto! A good place to start is over at one of the many lovely interior design/decor/fashion blogs I’ve reblogged.

Hi, I'd like to answer your question about the IKEA Fashion set I made :) That blue-yellow top is a "Contrast Colour Sleeveless Blue-yellow Tank Dress" from romwe. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the dress on the website anymore... Aside from that, I don't remember where you could find the blue clogs; sorry :/

Today in cost-saving measures: A couple years after controversially switching its official font from Futura to Verdana (in part because it was “cost-effective”), IKEA’s newest catalog has started to use 3D renderings for some of its images, as a cost-saving measure. As long as the furniture we buy is actually rendered in wood, we’re OK with that. We think.

Fun fact: An old roomie of mine bought these cushions for an apartment we shared a few years back. Sooo yea… good story, right?
