Open storage is one of my favorite things. True, it doesn’t work for everyone because it can require constant tidying up. For someone as forgetful as I am, however, having all of my possessions out in the open reminds me what I have, where it is, and keeps me mindful of how much potentially unnecessary ‘stuff’ I’m bringing into my life. And although I am a lover and supporter of art, I like using displaying my things [books, writing utensils, architectural tools, my collection of colorful scarves] as decor and my own art with a function.
